Citadel: On the Armali Council customer list thanks to a little Asari Diplomacy. Helped the Consort, got the trinket and the sexytime. Helped Dr. Michel, told Michael to let Rebekah decide, got Nirali Bhatia's body released, slipped Mr. Keeler the negotiator a downer to teach him a lesson, killed Finch, will vote for Charles Saracino but it's inappropriate for active duty military to make any political endorsements, helped Emily Wong with both stories, the hanar's spouting its nonsense in the Presidium unmolested, scanned all the keepers and got Jahleed and Chorban to make nice, helped Schells get his data, roughed up Conrad (who no doubt secretly liked it), and consented to the vid interview ruffling the feathers of the Council and the Alliance brass even though no comment was given about current Spectre activities.
BDtS: Kimberly Shepard doesn't negotiate with terrorists, she kills them so they'll never kill again.

UNC side quests: Killed Dr. Wayne for Cpl. Toombs, killed the ExoGeni scientist who let thorian creepers run amok on Nodacrux, sold the Cerberus data to the agent of the Shadow Broker, Chairman Burns died in the crossfire with the biotic terrorists who were also killed, Helena Blake lived to walk away from a life of crime unlike her 2 associates, convinced Major Kyle to turn himself in without a bloodbath, killed "Lord" Darius (Renegade quest, didn't trigger the Paragon quest), and did more than enough for all the collection quests.
Picked up Liara first and took Liara and Tali in the shore party from then on (Kaidan filled in until Liara brought aboard).
Noveria next: Cut out the middlemanowar and sold the package directly to Inamorda, helped Mallene Calis spy on Rafael Vargas, and persuaded Lorik Qui'in to testify against Anoleis. Out at Peak 15 did not mix up an antidote for the scientists, instead went to the Hot Labs first which meant killing the ERCS guards. Gave the rachni queen a fatal acid bath.
Feros: Did the side quests in the tunnels and got Gavin Hossle's mod-designs, but killed all the colonists on the way back as they were clearly too far gone to the thorian to be saved. Sadly Ethan Jeong was not among the dead. Saren's asari offering to the thorian was executed, however.
Finally got around to Virmire (damn it's so satisfying cutting off the Council). Wrex lived to see Kaidan work the bomb; sadly Ashley and most of the salarians had to be left behind despite all the helpful killing along the way. Freed the one sane salarian captive, killed the rest. Executed the treacherous asari researcher.
Big Finish: Convinced Saren to take his life. Let the Council die, they were as pleasant as Finch anyway. Recommended Udina take the council seat since he seems to like politics, but told him to remember what happened to the last Council that got in Shepard's way. Cue credits (all 9,999,999 of them).
Took Liara and Tali on the trips to get Wrex's relic and to kill Dr. Saleon. Wrex didn't seem to mind, Garrus was a bit upset but Shepard told him to suck it up. Also didn't let Tali have a copy of the geth data so she gave Shepard the cold shoulder aboard the Normandy though she was chipper and happy planetside. |

Appearance: Black hair, dark brown skin, piercing vivid blue eyes, slightly thin black lips, a striking hawkish nose; she's beautiful, but she looks sharp as a razor and ready to strike, though that appearance is slightly deceptive. She's just one of those people who looks mean even when she's not glowering at someone, unless she's actively smiling. This is her appearance after import in Mass Effect 2. (You can of course change it during the Lazarus Project, but if you'd rather not have to do all the work of building a decent face, then I figured it's nice to have a preview of what you'll be looking at during the game.)

Roleplaying info--Nearly maxed Renegade (just a half-bar short of full, which is only a few points' difference in ME2) and about two bars under half Paragon. I played her as a Renegade with heart who was no racist, though she was wary about aliens before she met Liara and the others who became part of her crew. She just has a severe bastard allergy and bs detector and doesn't like attitude in most cases. So in other words, she's erected a very rough exterior to protect her soft underbelly, but any truly kind person can get through to her more gentle side. I played her as bi, but preferring women more and being fascinated with asari, and Liara was the perfect person to bring out her softer side.
Completionist: Mostly so, but I forgot to inform Fai Dan, forgot to deliver the varren meat, and never met Darius or dealt with Terra Firma, but none of those seem to be important for ME2 from what I've seen in playing the game (you still get the expected encounter on Illium.)
BDTS: No; this playthrough took place before I got BDtS and is one of my oldest.
Pinnacle: No.
Saved Kaidan because she and Ashley just didn't click; they were too suspicious of each other, and Ryla had feelings for Kaidan growing before she met Liara. She trusted Kaidan more than Ash and just thought of him as more necessary.
Romanced Liara.
Finch from the Earthborn background lived.
Khalisa al-Jilani was nicely told off on camera.
Wrex survived Virmire, as did Kirrahe.
The Council was talked to for a few seconds in each transmission, then cut off during each conversation when they pissed her off. Ryla felt dying to ensure they had a chance at Sovereign would be their only chance at doing something useful for the galaxy. So it wasn't about race, just hating their guts and not seeing the worth in wasting lives when there were probably better candidates for a new Council out there.
Anderson was chosen to head the new Council, but you can retroactively choose Udina in Mass Effect 2 during an early conversation.
The Rachni Queen lives.
Shiala survived.
Conrad Verner got a gun in his face and ran off sobbing about how she was supposed to be a hero. She thought a bit of tough love was what he needed.
Did NOT allow tests on Nirali Bhatia's body.
